Sharon Henshall - sharing inspiring articles with the world

Now a Yoga and Mindfulness teacher, I initially launched Inspired Times Magazine in June 2009. It focused on inspiring articles highlighting many community & eco projects in the UK. Inspired Times also focused on holistic health, spirituality, creativity, nutrition and numerous other uplifting topics. After 3 years as a print publication, Inspired Times Magazine went online in 2012 for a few years. It was a labour of love but sadly just wasn’t financially sustainable. Eventually I had to leave it sitting quietly online whilst I caught my breath after an amazing, but intense, roller coaster ride.

A move from Bristol into the wilds of West Wales gave me time to rethink my direction. I now teach yoga and mindfulness locally and online. Please do like Inspired Yoga & Mindfulness Facebook page to stay updated.

I have now been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and took my Teacher Training in 2017 with Glastonbury based Yoga Alliance Certified School, Yoga Prema. I studied Hatha and Sivananda Yoga because these are the yoga styles which speak to my heart. I am also a member of Yoga Alliance Professionals.

My focus is on the deeper aspects of yoga and I believe in making it accessible for everyone. My classes include chair yoga, gentle yoga, yin yoga & general level yoga. I have a gentle approach and so encourage my students to embark on a journey of self discovery. Locals can choose from chair yoga, gentle yoga, yin yoga and general level yoga around Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire. There are also a couple of weekly sessions on Zoom so you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home. I also run workshops and the occasional retreat, all focussing on wellbeing and self-care. The style of yoga I teach is quite traditional, and also includes pranayama (breathing exercises) plus a deep final relaxation.

Mindfulness is another love of mine. People are often a bit unsure about the meaning of Mindfulness as it’s quite subtle. It’s not about relaxation as such, although this is often a welcomed side-effect, but more about being very present to what arises in the here & now. So often our mind wanders to the past and the future, which means we spend much of our life in our minds. It also teaches us how to deal with triggers and unhelpful mind patterns. I run 6 week group courses in the local community, plus 1:1s both in person and via Zoom.

I really appreciate all your support and hope you enjoy looking around the website.
