Who is the Mindfulness Course suitable for…
Feeling a bit overwhelmed or stressed by life? Maybe you find it difficult to relax? Or feel your mind is too busy & your energies are low? Perhaps you need more clarity and inner calm. Or just feel like you would like to be more present in your day-to-day life? Mindfulness may be able to help.
 
WHAT is MINDFULNESS? 
Mindfulness is both an approach to life and a set of practical techniques which you can develop for yourself. You can use these to feel more able to cope with the ups and downs of life, and to live more freely in the moment. Mindfulness has developed out of ancient practices of meditation and Buddhism, but is a totally non-religious approach to life, which many people have found extremely helpful. During the Mindfulness Course you will learn from a wide variety of exercises, techniques and meditations, all of which you can incorporate into your everyday life—in whatever way you feel is helpful for you.
 
ABOUT THE GROUP COURSE 
There are many ways to learning mindfulness, both individually and in groups. This Mindfulness Course offers the opportunity to work with a supportive group with my guidance.
 
PLEASE NOTE:
— Mindfulness isn’t a quick fix and takes a dedication of time & energy, specifically during the course… approx 20-30mins most days for home practices. If you feel you can’t give it this time at present, I highly recommend that you come back to it at a later point when you feel you can create that space for yourself.
— Also, please be aware that Mindfulness is not about relaxation (although this may be a side effect of some of the practices). It is more of a shift in the way we approach situations & life. It takes courage and consistency to make this change but the impact can be life-changing.
— If you have very recently gone through any life-changing/extremely stressful events, it is best to let these settle/receive counselling before you attempt a mindfulness course/session.

HOW TO REGISTER
Once you are booked on the course, you will need to fill in a registration form & short health questionnaire (CLICK HERE FOR ONLINE FORM), this is entirely confidential but contains necessary information to ensure this course is right for you. Please note that whilst this course is suitable for a wide range of everyday issues and concerns, it is for educational purposes. If you have a clinically diagnosed mental health condition you should check with your GP and discuss with the course tutor. Whilst the course can be helpful in between or after an episode of depression, for example, it is not normally suitable during an acute episode.
