Is Yin Yoga the right type of yoga for you?

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a suitable for most people, as long as you have a reasonable level of mobility. The sessions focus on longer holds using blocks, cushions, pillows to allow us to relax our muscles and reach the connective tissue/fascia. This also induces a more meditative practice and can bring about emotional releases, as working on a deeper level. You listen to your body and just hold the posture for whatever time feels right for you.  Connect with the deeper aspects of yoga – nourish your body, mind and soul.

When and where do the Yin Yoga sessions run?

Wednesday (first of month only):
Yin Yoga @ Penrhiwllan Hall (SA44 5NN), near Newcastle Emlyn – £8
Time: 6-7.15pm

Sunday evening wind-down (from Oct-Mar):
ZOOM: Yin Yoga  – £7.50  *From the comfort of your own home 🙂
Time: 7.30-8.30pm

*I also do occasional Saturday Yin Yoga Workshops from 10-11.30am at Penrhiwllan Hall. Please check the workshops page for dates.

What to wear and have with you for your session?

Wear something comfortable for stretching in, but also that you will be warm in to allow the muscles to fully relax. Have a couple of cushions, maybe a pillow and also a blanket to cover yourself with for the final relaxation.
